Giving Thanks

Late in the afternoon on the day before Thanksgiving, a mother of a former patient emailed our clinic and here is what she said:

She wanted to call and let us know how grateful she is and how well her daughter is doing. She said that her daughter graduated from college, has been teaching kindergarten for about three years, and just recently got married.

Every year, around Thanksgiving time, she gets very emotional and always gives thanks for our clinic, since it helped them so much and gave her daughter back her life. She felt very compelled to stop her day and give us a call to let us know how truly appreciative she is and hopes that we hear about the positive outcomes of our patients.

At Kartini Clinic, we are deeply grateful for these stories, they sustain us and guide us and, more importantly, they sustain our parents who are currently in the thick of it, fighting the good fight.

So during this season of Thanksgiving, to all of Kartini’s families, wherever you are on your journey, we say thank you. It is your sleepless nights and tireless faith in your own child’s ability to heal that brings them back from the brink and gives them back their lives.

Peace, joy and healing to you this holiday season.
